BOOK REVIEW: The Spooks Tale (Joseph Delaney)

Book: The Spooks Tale

Author: Joseph Delaney

Rating: 4/10

The spooks tale in a short book detailing a event of the early life of the Spook in his main series. It was written for world book day so it rather short but was still enjoyable.

John Gregory is the seventh son of a seventh son and that means he can see and sense dark creatures and spirits. as a younger boy he was sent to be a priest it was on the way there he met the Spook, and it changed his life.

He gets lost, stumbles upon a malevolent witch and her bone-snatcher boggart and if he doesn't lead the spook into a trap they will hunt him down and kill him.

John Gregory is about to discover what it's like to be a spook.

This is a good short prequel to his books and although not extremely scary there were a few scary bits   with-in the story. It's a world book day book so you get 2 books in one as well.
