BOOK REVIEW: The Dead of Night(John Marsden) Tomorrow series book 2

Book:  The Dead Of Night

Author: John Marsden

Rating:  7/10

Recommended  ages:  11/12+

This is the second in what is appearing to be a brilliant series, unlike the 1st which was kind of just setting the scene with a little bit of action in places this one was a lot more in the way of action.

Eliie and her friends have been camped in Hell deep in the Australian outback in a daze since losing 2 of their friends to the invaders who are slowly taking control of everything they hold dear. But all it takes is one bright idea From the wild leader like Homer to re-energise them into action. Read on to find out more about the story and my opinion on it

As in the review I did of the first book in the series, which is found in this blogs archives or by following this link :http://devonianbookreviewer.blogspot.com/2011/03/book-review-tomorrow-when-war-beganjohn_03.html     This series shows promise and is a very good read,

Now for some more info on the actual book:

This book is still following the 6 of them as they try to fight back against the invaders who have taken almost everything form them. This book has numerous daring ideas, attacks, concepts and more in it and I really like how the whole series so far has been written as if by one of the characters writing a record of their exploits yet still managing to keep it gripping.
It's ,like mentioned, got alot more action in it with a number of various scale tasks such as ambushing a convoy to finding a whole camp of  free people in another valley, although that didn't last long as you'll find out..... It ends with a daring attempt to cause a huge amount of problems to the enemy, but you wouldn't want me to give away what it was now would you?
and the discovery of there lost friend by the river.

Buy the 1st of the series then get this book regardless of your opinions on the 1st one.
IT'S BRILLIANT
